Books on Mind Body Healing Research
Books on mind body healing often do not quote the scientific
research. I hunted down some health books written by scientists and
drawing on research statistics.
If you are someone who is not
yet convinced by the connections between thoughts and health, beliefs and health and feelings and health, these mind
body books may be of great interest.

Since writing this page I have read a book by David Hamilton and heard him speak. So I have returned to add him to this list of recommended books on mind body healing research. I recommend his book,

I live with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for which there is currently no
treatment. I take a great interest in alternative healing methods which
draw on our ability to assist our body's in self healing. These books share that same interest.

To be clear, I am unsure if the emphasis in this book is on Dr John E Sarno presenting his research into mind body healing, or outlining the program to bring about alternative healing for yourself.
Either way, he is a qualified Doctor, and the book comes highly recommended by a friend of mine.

I love the sound of "overcoming health terrorism". When looking into mind body healing there is a risk that we start to give ourselves a hard time for being ill. We tell ourselves that if only we thought the right thoughts we would be OK, and we SHOULD know how to do that already!!!
This kind of thinking really doesn't help us. I am guessing that Paul Pearsall addresses this problem and helps us to develop the self compassion we need.
